If the same drain blocks again weeks after it was cleared, something in the pipe is catching waste, usually a crack, a sag or roots at a joint. Book a camera inspection before paying for another clear.

It depends on how deep the drain is, how long the damaged section is, what sits on top of it (lawn, pavers or concrete) and whether it can be relined instead of dug up. We find the damage on camera first, then give you one fixed price to approve before any work starts. There is nothing to pay just for us to come and look during business hours.

A single crack or root entry can often be patch relined from inside, while a collapsed section usually has to be dug up and replaced, which takes longer and costs more. Depth, access and what has to be lifted and put back all change the price. Either way, you see the damage on camera and agree a fixed price first.

Work on a sewer drain in NSW has to be done by a licensed plumber, so it is not a DIY job. We find the damaged spot with a camera and a locator first, so only a small section of concrete is cut out rather than the whole path. Until it is fixed, keep wipes and grease out of the drain.

A section that has collapsed or dropped out of line usually has to be dug up and replaced.
