Thermosiphon Roof Mounted System

These facts are used to create a great water heating system. The solar collecters are coated with a dark, heat absorbent material. The water in the collectors is heated. The heated water rises and is deposited in the tank, which forces the cooler water in the tank to go back to the collectors to be heated again. As the collectors and the tank are both on the roof, the water remains heated for a longer period of time, making the system efficient.

Split Systems

The split systems are very popular amongst home owners because they don’t stand out like a sore thumb. The collector is placed on the roof and it is discreet and won’t disrupt the looks of your home. The hot water tank is placed on the ground, somewhere out of sight. An electric pump called the circulator circulates the water between the tank and the collector, making sure that there’s enough hot water available at all times.

Heat Pump
