The Gas Heating Jobs We Do
Everything between your gas meter and the heater, priced before any work starts.

New Gas Bayonets
A gas bayonet fitted on the wall or floor of the room you want to heat, so a portable gas heater clicks straight in.

Moving A Gas Point
Heater in the wrong spot, or a new air conditioner in the way? We move the bayonet along the wall or into another room.

Gas Lines To Another Room
No gas where you want the heater? We run a new gas line from the meter or the nearest gas pipe to a new bayonet.

Leaking Bayonets
A bayonet that smells of gas or sets off a leak detector, tested and repaired or replaced so the heater is safe to use again.

Removing An Old Heater
An old heater or a floor bayonet you no longer use taken out, and the gas pipe capped off safely inside the wall.
How Bad Is Your Gas Heater Problem?
Three gas heating problems people call us about, from most to least urgent, and what to do about each.

Gas Smell Near The Heater
Turn the heater off, then turn the gas off at the meter if it is safe to. Open doors and windows, do not use switches or flames, and call us once you are outside: we find the gas leak and make it safe.

Heater Will Not Click In
A new heater that will not click into an old bayonet needs the bayonet changed over, not forced. Book a gas fitter to swap it for one that suits the heater.

No Gas Where You Want Heat
A heater for a room with no gas point is a planned job, so book it before the cold nights. We quote the new bayonet and the gas line to reach it.

Gas Heater Installation FAQs
Answer:
It depends on whether there is already a gas bayonet in the room, how far the gas pipe has to run to reach it, what is in the way, and the type of heater. We check the room and the gas supply first, then give you one fixed price to approve before any work starts. There is nothing to pay just for us to come and look during business hours.
Answer:
A new bayonet close to an existing gas pipe is a smaller job than one that needs a gas line run under the floor or through the roof space. The distance from the gas supply and how easy it is to reach make most of the difference. Either way, the price is fixed and agreed before we start.
Answer:
Plugging a portable heater into a bayonet that is already there is something you can do yourself, following the heater's instructions. Fitting or moving a bayonet, running gas pipe or connecting a fixed heater is gas fitting work, and in NSW that must be done by a licensed gasfitter.
Answer:
A gas bayonet is a gas outlet on the wall or floor that a portable gas heater plugs into with a push and a twist. When the heater is unplugged, the bayonet shuts off the gas, so one heater can move between rooms that each have a bayonet.
Answer:
Yes. We can move the bayonet along the same wall, or run a gas line to a new bayonet in another room. How the pipe gets there, under the floor, through the roof space or along an outside wall, is worked out on site before we quote.
Answer:
Heater plugs and bayonets are not all the same, so a new heater may not click into an older outlet. Do not force it or use a fitting that does not suit. A gas fitter can change the bayonet over to one that matches the heater.
Answer:
Turn the heater off, then turn the gas off at the meter if it is safe to do so. Open doors and windows, do not use light switches or anything with a flame, and call us once you are outside. We find the leak and make it safe before the heater is used again.
Answer:
Yes. Every bayonet, gas line and connection we install is covered by our lifetime workmanship guarantee: if our work fails, we come back and fix it.
