Recent Work Near Mascot
Real jobs from our own records, completed in the surrounding suburbs.
Of the 9,592 private dwellings the 2021 Census counts in Mascot, 74% are flats or apartments and 57% are rented. That shapes the plumbing: shared stacks and risers, concealed in-wall cisterns, hot water units tucked into cupboards or on balconies, and a body corporate or property manager to keep in the loop. Sydney Water looks after about 27,000 kilometres of wastewater pipes and clears up to 20,000 blockages a year, but the line from your house to the street connection is yours to maintain, and that is the stretch where tree roots, old clay joints and ground movement do their damage. If you would rather not find out the hard way, our VIP members get a free annual home inspection that checks the drains, taps and hot water before anything fails.
The Mr Splash job bookAug 2026
In August 2026, a Mascot resident reported a kitchen tap handle that kept coming off. Our plumber attended and re-secured the gooseneck. We advised that there was no warranty on this repair and recommended a mixer replacement.

In April 2026, a Mascot customer reported a leaking drain under the kitchen sink and wished to replace a shower assembly. Our plumber removed the existing shower rail and installed a new customer-supplied twin shower on a rail. We also installed a customer-supplied shower step. An attempt was made to install a customer-supplied plug and waste, but this would have required drainage modification, so the original plug and waste was reinstated and tested. The work was completed.

Our plumber attended a blocked toilet in Mascot in April 2026. An attempted plunge did not clear the blockage. A CCTV inspection from the inspection opening revealed the line was full of grease. We then jet blasted the line, and it was flowing correctly.

In March 2026, our plumber attended a Rosebery property where the hot water system had stopped working. We provided a quote for the work.

In March 2026, a Rosebery resident reported issues with their dishwasher and washing machine. Our plumber supplied and installed a new main tap for the dishwasher. They also drilled out the spigot for the washing machine. The shower pressure was tested, and a water restrictor was removed, but the pressure remained unchanged due to the building's inlet pressure.

Our plumber attended a blocked drain in Beaconsfield in May 2026. We attempted to clear the present blockage. We found the line had to be excavated due to a broken pipe.

Mascot Plumbing FAQ
Answer:
Treat it as urgent, because NSW tenancy rules do: a blocked or broken toilet is on the urgent repairs list (NSW Government). Ask your landlord or agent to arrange it. Where nobody responds, you are allowed to book a licensed tradesperson yourself and claim back up to $1,000, except where you caused the damage (NSW Government). Renters live in 56.7% of Mascot homes (ABS 2021 Census).
Answer:
Yes. We repair and replace gas and electric hot water systems across all major brands, including Rheem, Rinnai, Dux, Thermann and Bosch. You get a fixed price before work starts, and you pay nothing until you accept it. During business hours there is no call-out fee*.
